Here at Speech Tech Blog, we made a New Year’s Resolution to get fit in 2009: to eat better, lose some weight, stop abusing over-the-counter antihistamines, hit the gym.
And as such, we are making use of Everlast‘s Talking Adjustable Dumbbells.
Each talking dumbbell has a built in computer that counts total reps, reps per minute, calories burned and time spent exercising as well as a motivational talking trainer voice to keep Eric and I on track during our workout.
And each dumbbell’s weight can be adjusted by simply changing the internal water level.
The Everlast Talking Dumbbells are hard to find and may have even been discontinued in the U.S. But they are still available from this U.K. vendor.

Can the voice be customized to sound like: Chuck Norris, Billy Blanks, or Richard Simmons? How about Jillian Michaels for the ladies out there utilizing the dumbbells?
