Lately, everywhere we look, Speech Tech Blog finds someone condemning Voice Recognition Software.  The latest incarnation of this sad fad seems to be a growing collection of YouTube videos demonstrating the technology’s failings.

Are these “real life” tests of Voice Recognition Software actually “real” or are they simply “staged”?  Well, we at Speech Tech Blog can’t say for sure.  However, some of them are funny.  And, as Journalists, we feel the need to, in our effort to remain fair and balanced, deliver them for your inspection and consideration.

So, below are a collection of Speech Tech Failure Videos:



Well, after further review, my Speech Brother Eric B and I are pretty sure that at least two of those videos are indeed biased and unfair.  So, be sure to judge the technology for yourself, Speech Heads.  And feel free to let us know about YOUR favorite/most hated Voice Recognition Software.
