Nuance NDEV Announces Promotion

Nuance debuted its NDEV ‘Appy Holidays Promotion for the NDEV Mobile developer program, designed to take advantage of the most popular mobile device season.

The holiday speech promotion will enable developers participating in the Gold and Emerald NDEV programs that launch new apps to benefit from free speech transactions and device activations until January 14, 2013. Additionally, all Gold developers will have the minimum prepayment requirement waived entirely.

The holiday season brings with it a flurry of new smartphones ready to experience the latest and greatest mobile applications powered by Dragon. With the Dragon Mobile SDK, developers can deliver a truly differentiated and compelling mobile app experience that gets people talking to each other and to the latest and greatest apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 7.

“We want to make it even easier for developers to voice-enable and deploy their apps in time for the holiday smartphone season,” said Matt Revis, vice president and general manager, Dragon devices, Nuance Mobile, in a statement. “More than 13,000 developers have taken advantage of the Dragon Mobile SDK, and with this promotion we can help more developers get their voice-enabled innovations into the market even faster.”
Brands in lifestyle, food, gaming, messaging, social and Web browsing applications have recognized the benefit of integrating Dragon technology into their applications, including Coupons.com’s Grocery iQ, Price Check by Amazon, Ask for iPhone, Merriam-Webster, Dictionary.com, SayHi Translate, OnStar RemoteLink, Bon’App, SnapGuide, Dolphin Sonar, Sonico iTranslate and many others.
In addition to more than 13,000 developers participating in the program, NDEV supports over 30 languages for voice recognition and text-to-speech.
